Classes are typically $70 (plus materials) and are listed on our calendar page.
Just 4-5 students per class! It is priority at TNS for everyone to get as much attention as they need and leave knowing they've had all their questions answered. Plus, we think it's more fun when students can get to know each other a little.
Not at all! We have plenty of machines to go around, but feel free to bring your own if you have one. We'll help you figure it out.
Sewing 101 starts at the VERY beginning - fear not! And, even if you have some experience this class will fill in all the gaps. We hear rave reviews from sewers at all levels.
We ask everyone to start with 101 to keep all of our students on the same page with our techniques. Every sewer has a different bag of tricks and ours comes to you with decades of experience. Gaining even just a few new sewing skills can be like winning the lottery!
There are no refunds for missed classes. If you cancel at least 1 week in advance you may reschedule for a different session. See our policies page for complete class policies.
We don't offer kids' classes, but we often refer Chicagoans to WishCraft Workshop, which specializes in them.
